Dear Fellow Chocoholic,

Starting Chatham’s Fine Chocolates has been one of the single greatest joys in my life; second only to having a wife who loves me more than I could ever understand and a son who fills my soul with pure happiness.

I have had more blessings starting this business than I could imagine. Obviously, I have experienced some of the world’s greatest chocolates. This alone was worth it. But I got so much more. I got the great honor to become fantastic friends with “my chocolatiers” and so many amazing people by being in this business. And, I had the great honor to share my love and my passion of chocolate with my customers, many of whom also became great friends. And I’ll admit it, I loved being on TV and radio. What extraordinary times these were.

This is why it is so sad to announce that we are closing Chatham’s Fine Chocolates. We’re selling out our remaining inventory now, and if you’ve placed an order – not to worry we’re filling all of our orders before Christmas!

I want to thank you all for sharing this experience with me. Words just cannot express how much I loved my role in the world of fine chocolates and the sheer pleasure of sharing that with others. I always say the best chocolate is the one you enjoy the most; my role was helping you find it, or them! My list of favorites is too long to count. Even as I write this pieces of chocolate are swirling around my head.

People keep asking me what I am going to do. Honestly, g-d only knows. I don’t have a clue.

I had a dream and I got to chase it. I came so close. I am so grateful for having the opportunity to try.

There are also some hard realities, including the fact that we have some nice stuff to sell; a great crystal chandelier, and three True Commercial refrigerators.

And, specifically for our website customers, we are running low on our inventory. In custom box collections, we might have to make substitutions to your order. I thank you in advance for your understanding.

Closing "the shop" is much like closing this letter, here it is – but I just don’t want to face it. So let me just say that I hope by allowing me into your world, I made it better. You certainly made mine better – thank you.
